Mina is a singer-songerwriter who tells stories through her voice and piano. As someone of Chinese descent taking inspiration from anime and folk tales, her original songs exist somewhere in the liminal space between fantasy and reality. Through music, she wishes to help bring magic and colour to the world, to spark imagination and wonder for the world around them, and to encourage all of us to live our sincere selves.
Her original music is showcased on Bandcamp and Vimeo, while she also uploads covers of various songs on Youtube. She has hosted two singer-songwriter festivals: Moonlight Piano and Arts Festival, also featuring fellow pianists Atlin Morgan and Eri Kikuchi as well as various vendors on November 18, 2023 at the former Massy Arts Society gallery at 23 W Pender St, and Equinox Fantasia Music Festival, also featuring Jamie, Silent St. J, and ember*night on September 22, 2024 at The Cultch. You can also find her at various open mics around "Vancouver, BC" as well as events such as Richmond Night Market and Anime Evolution. She had also featured songs from her first album, Storytime, at the Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival.
Her music is recorded on the ancestral and unsurrendered territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. As an artist inspired by the rich Indigenous storytelling traditions, she acknowledges her responsiblity to support their efforts to restore the land to its rightful stewards.
